The short version
- ShiftPulse is a work tool licensed by your employer. There is no public sign-up.
- Your employer's supervisors and administrators can see your schedule, overtime and attendance data — that is the point of the app.
- We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
- Location is read only at the moment you scan to clock, to confirm you are on site. Never in the background.
- The camera is used only to read a QR code. No image is stored or uploaded.
- ShiftPulse does not use AI or machine learning to make decisions about you. See Automated decision-making.
What is collected and why
Name
Identifies you on schedules, overtime queues, crew rosters and attendance records.
Email address
Sign-in, password resets, invitations and shift/overtime email notifications.
Phone number
Optional SMS sign-in codes, SMS clock-in and urgent coverage contact by your supervisor.
Employer / company information
Keeps your records inside your employer's workspace and separate from every other company using ShiftPulse.
Employee ID (if your employer uses one)
Matches your ShiftPulse record to your employer's payroll and HR systems.
Crew assignment
Builds the rotating crew schedule and decides which overtime you are eligible for.
Current position
Determines staffing counts for each shift and who can cover an open spot.
Qualified positions
Restricts overtime and coverage offers to work you are trained and certified to perform.
Seniority information (seniority date and rank)
Orders the overtime selection rounds so offers go out in the correct seniority sequence.
Work schedules
Shows your calendar, drives shift reminders and calculates coverage for each day.
Overtime selections and history
Records accepts, passes, awards and equalization so the rotation stays fair and auditable.
Time-off and vacation requests
Processes approvals and identifies shifts that need overtime coverage.
Attendance and call-ins
Records absences, late arrivals and call-ins so supervisors can staff the shift.
Clock-in and clock-out timestamps
Produces timecards and hour totals used to support payroll.
Scan location at the moment you clock
Confirms the punch happened at the work site. Coarse location is read only at the instant you scan — never continuously and never in the background.
Supervisor adjustments
Documents corrections to punches, absences and overtime with who changed what, when and why.
Notification preferences
Controls which alerts you get, on which channel, and honours quiet hours and Do Not Disturb.
Push notification tokens
Delivers shift, overtime and coverage alerts to your specific device.
Device and browser information
Renders the app correctly, delivers push messages and diagnoses crashes.
IP address and security information
Protects accounts against unauthorized sign-in, abuse and clock-in spoofing.
Audit logs
Immutable record of overtime awards, attendance edits and administrative actions used to resolve disputes.
Usage information
Basic in-app activity and error reports used to keep the service reliable.
Your choices
You can update your contact details and notification preferences in the app at any time, and you can request deletion of your ShiftPulse account from Delete Account — including after you no longer have a login. Questions: support@theshiftpulse.com.
