Cookie & Local Storage Policy
Effective date: 6 September 2026
The short version
ShiftPulse uses no advertising cookies, no third-party analytics, no tracking pixels, no social media trackers and no cross-site profiling. Nothing on this site or in the app follows you to another website. Everything listed below is strictly necessary to sign you in, keep the app working offline and remember the display choices you made yourself.
Because no non-essential tracking technology exists in ShiftPulse, there is no consent banner. A banner asking permission for tracking we do not perform would be misleading. If ShiftPulse ever adds analytics or any other non-essential technology, this page will be updated first and consent will be requested before that technology loads for anyone whose law requires it.
What is stored on your device
Most of this is browser local storage rather than cookies. Local storage stays on your device and is not attached to network requests. You can clear all of it at any time by clearing site data in your browser, or by deleting the app on a phone — signing out removes the session items.
sb-*-auth-token
Local storage · Strictly necessary · Until you sign out
Keeps you signed in between screens and app launches. Without it you would have to log in on every page.
shiftpulse.device-accounts.v1
Local storage · Functional preference · Until cleared
Remembers which accounts have recently signed in on this device so people sharing a shop-floor tablet can switch quickly. Names and sign-in addresses only, never passwords.
shiftpulse.theme
Local storage · Functional preference · Until cleared
Stores your light/dark/system display choice.
sidebar_state
Cookie · Functional preference · 7 days
Remembers whether the side menu is expanded or collapsed. Contains only 'true' or 'false'.
shiftpulse.schedule.v1*
Local storage · Offline reliability · Refreshed on each load
Caches your own upcoming schedule days so the calendar still shows something in a dead zone in the plant.
shiftpulse.offline.*
Local storage · Offline reliability · Refreshed on each load
Caches the last known version of screens you already loaded, so they open instantly and work with no signal.
shiftpulse.otResponseQueue
Local storage · Offline reliability · Until sent
Holds an overtime accept or decline you made offline until the app can deliver it, so your answer is not lost.
sp.tapPoint
Local storage · Functional preference · Until cleared
Remembers the last clock point code you scanned so the clock screen opens on the right one.
sp.tap.* (nonce)
Session storage · Strictly necessary · Current session
A one-time value that prevents a scanned clock-in code being replayed or reused fraudulently.
sp.feedback.draft
Local storage · Offline reliability · Until sent or cleared
Keeps the feedback message you were typing if sending fails or you leave the screen, so you do not have to retype it.
sp.review.activeDays
Local storage · Functional preference · Last 30 days
Counts on how many separate days you have used the app, so the app-store review request is only ever shown after real use and rarely. Dates only.
sp_push_prompt_dismissed
Local storage · Functional preference · Until cleared
Remembers that you dismissed the notifications prompt so it is not shown again.
Turning things off
Blocking the sign-in items will stop you being able to use ShiftPulse, because the app cannot keep you logged in without them. Every other item can be cleared freely; the app simply rebuilds it or falls back to a default.
